07 February 2023 in the building of the House of Culture of Kayyndy village, Kayyndy rural district, Mugalzharsky district in Aktobe region with the participation of specialists of ‘Kazmintech Engineering’ LLP held public hearings in the format of an open meeting on the project ‘Mining Plan of the deposit “Kundyzdy”. Adjustment’ and on the materials for obtaining an environmental impact permit for 2023-2032 (EPP to PGR, drafts of NPV and VAT, EMP, PEK, PPM) of Kundyzdy deposit of Kaz Georud LLP in Aktobe region.
In 2020, the ‘Mining Plan of Kundyzdy deposit’ was developed. However, due to the occurrence of landslides on the non-operational northern side of the open pit, it was necessary to adjust the mining plan at Kundyzdy deposit with an increase in the volume of stripping works. This mining plan provides for the removal of landslides by stripping the northern and partially southern side of the open pit. In this case, the volume of overburden, in general, increased by 5389.7 thousand m3 and the period of field development also increased by one year - up to 2034. The need to make these adjustments resulted in a change of emission indicators, adjustment of draft emission standards and obtaining a new Permit.
